A nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Level IV/surgical NICU care. This contract position is based in Lawrenceville, GA, offering a focused weekend-night shift with unique responsibilities in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care setting. Location: Lawrenceville, GA provides a comfortable suburban environment with access to vibrant local dining, parks, and community events, offering a balanced lifestyle close to the amenities of a larger metropolitan area. Schedule/Hours: Weekend block schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM Responsibilities/Duties: Deliver expert nursing care to neonates with complex conditions such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS), necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), tracheoesophageal fistula/esophageal atresia (TEF/EA), abdominal wall defects, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), pulmonary hypertension, and perioperative care. Function within a Level IV/surgical NICU, providing specialized clinical support. Float between departments within the hospital and cross campus to the satellite NICU as needed. Adhere to facility policies including nicotine-free workplace standards and vaccination requirements. Participate in holiday scheduling, including availability to work on or around Christmas. Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience, preferably within a Level IV/surgical NICU. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred. Ability to work independently during night shifts and demonstrate flexibility in floating across departments. Additional Requirements: Compliance with facilitys tobacco-free policy and successful nicotine testing. Mandatory flu vaccination with no exceptions or declinations allowed. This position offers the opportunity to utilize advanced neonatal nursing skills in a supportive, specialized environment with a consistent weekend night schedule on a contract basis.
