About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President / Director of Construction to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for its construction operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing and mentoring a team of project managers, developing and executing business growth strategies, and managing the full project life cycle to ensure top-quality delivery and client satisfaction. This role demands a hands-on leader with a strong background in commercial construction, a deep understanding of construction operations, and a proven track record in driving operational excellence. The VP/Director will also be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, as well as identifying new market opportunities to support regional growth.
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years' in a senior leadership role, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at implementing growth and operational improvement initiatives, and possess excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. The role requires a willingness to travel across the region and a commitment to representing the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions. The VP/Director will work closely with executive leadership to set and achieve annual business goals, financial targets, and operational KPIs, and must ensure that all projects meet or exceed profitability targets, schedule requirements, and client expectations.
