Responsibilities
Candidate is responsible for planning and conducting classes for FSUS students, for academic advising and related activities, and for assisting with student supervision. Attendance is required at staff conferences and curriculum development activities, with required involvement in action research, creative endeavors, and service. Plans and implements lessons in the subject area assigned. Assesses students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Works with students to challenge them to improve their abilities, and proactively address academic needs. Closely monitors learning progress and communicates proactively with families.
Participates in professional development and research as required and aligned with the mission of FSUS as a developmental research school.
Incumbent will be supervised by Principal of Middle School.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Certification or Statement of Eligibility for State of Florida Educators K-12 Certification. Must maintain throughout employment.
