Job Overview
CDL A Delivery Truck Driver – Columbus, OH, at US Foods. Drive, deliver, and maintain a strong safety culture while providing excellent customer service.
Compensation Base pay $35.86 per hour, increased to $38.17 per hour at one‑year anniversary. Weekly pay with a 4‑day work week, averaging $100k per year.
Schedule Monday – Friday, 4‑day work week with one scheduled day on call. Dispatch 3:00 AM – 5:30 AM, 10+ hour shifts until deliveries complete.
Responsibilities
Safely drive trucks and meet scheduled delivery times.
Unload products using pallet jack, two‑wheeler, or by hand and place in specified customer storage areas.
Verify delivery accuracy and obtain signatures from customers.
Handle collections and payments when applicable.
Provide professional customer service to enhance client experience.
Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip equipment inspections.
Physical Requirements
Lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20–80+ lbs repeatedly during shifts.
Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
Qualifications
Valid CDL Class A, state of legal residence, necessary endorsements, and DOT qualifications.
Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience (any industry) or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
At least 21 years of age.
Manually operated transmission preferred; may be required for specific locations.
Strong English reading and communication skills.
Register with FMCSA Clearinghouse.
