Primary Responsibilities The Vice President (VP) of Finance Transformation will be responsible for driving the execution of the finance organization's transformation. This VP serves as the primary cross-functional owner of the function’s roadmap for people, processes & technology, with a heavy focus on the technology transformation in the short-to-mid-term (e.g., 18-24 months). The VP will ensure the evolution of KeHE’s financial systems to support our business growth and efficiency goals and partner closely with senior leadership across Finance, IT, and Operations to create a digitally enabled, efficient, and insight-oriented finance function. By leveraging deep, functional expertise of the Workday platform, the VP will unlock value across all finance functions, directly translating the strategic vision into an operational reality. This role will oversee systems integrations, reporting consolidation, and the development of a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement, scalability, and innovation. Essential Functions Own the Technology Transformation Roadmap (Cross-Functional)
Define, prioritize, and execute the technology transformation roadmap across the entire Finance organization, which will include systems integrations, automation, new tool deployment, and creating / confirming our data strategy.
Ensure initiatives align with the strategic goals and benefit all major stakeholders: FP&A (forecasting), Accounting (close speed), and Shared Services (working capital).
Workday Integration & Expertise
Serve as the Architect and functional authority for Workday Financials/Adaptive Planning.
Own the functional requirements, prioritization, and governance of configuration and maintenance, acting as the primary client for IT's Workday Administrator.
Serve as the Accountable owner for the success of cross-functional data integrations (API, ETL) needed for AI/ML models, collaborating with the Product Delivery Lead to define technical specifications and acceptance criteria.
Lead Intelligent Automation Execution
Identify opportunities to leverage automation technology to improve high-volume, manual workflows (e.g., reconciliations, invoice processing, journal entries) within Accounting and Shared Services and work with the IT Project Delivery Lead (PDL) to deliver these solutions and drive value.
Enable Advanced Analytics
Partner directly with the FP&A team to integrate Advanced Analytics and AI/ML models into the Workday Adaptive Planning environment and reporting platforms (Power BI).
Translate business requirements into technical data structures necessary for predictive modeling.
Data Governance Champion
Co-lead the cross-functional data governance efforts, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and control frameworks are maintained across all automated and integrated systems.
Change Management/Partnerships
Build alignment with Finance, Technology, and Business teams on transformation goals and priorities.
Support adoption of new systems and processes through effective communication, training, and user engagement.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing all project timelines, technical resources, and stakeholder expectations across multiple concurrent projects, providing regular, succinct updates to the CFO and senior leadership.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Deep, hands-on administrative and functional experience with Workday Financials and/or Workday Adaptive Planning with the ability to manage configuration, maintenance, and complex reporting within the platform.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse partner base and drive alignment across teams.
Partner with the Product Delivery Lead to translate strategic finance priorities (Value Creation) into a clear delivery roadmap, ensuring the finance function's needs are appropriately sequenced against HR's needs within the Shared Services technology strategy.
Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate strategic business objectives into clear, executable technical solutions.
Excellent communication skills, presentation and leadership skills.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
MBA or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Minimum 15+ years of experience in Finance, Financial Systems, or Digital Transformation roles, with a proven track record of leading hands-on implementation of RPA/AI solutions.
Minimum of 8+ of managerial experience.
Experience in financial functions (e.g., Accounting, Shared Services and FP&A) a plus.
Expertise in reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI), automation solutions, and complex systems integration (API, ETL). Certification in RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) is highly preferred.
