Job Title: Data Scientist

Job Description: We are looking for experienced Data Scientists with Python expertise and a GEOINT background to support mission-critical intelligence operations. In this role, you will apply advanced analytics and data science to real-world national security problems, working across GEOINT, multi-INT, and enterprise analytic environments. You will help modernize analytic workflows, introduce new methodologies, and turn complex data into actionable insights for mission teams and decision-makers.
Responsibilities
Perform advanced analytics within GEOINT and multi-INT environments
Develop, refine, and implement modern analytic methodologies to improve mission outcomes and customer satisfaction
Mine, manipulate, and maintain structured analytic datasets, ensuring quality and usability at scale
Perform data preprocessing and feature engineering for both structured and unstructured data
Create Python scripts that strengthen tradecraft through reproducible workflows, transparency, and lifecycle management best practices
Apply machine learning and statistical techniques such as regression, clustering, classification, and time-series analysis to mission datasets
Evaluate model performance, conduct error analysis, and clearly communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences
Operationalize models into repeatable, reliable pipelines that support intelligence production
Support GEOINT analysis using imagery, spatio-temporal data, and multi-source intelligence to uncover patterns, relationships, and mission-relevant events
Conduct multi-INT research to enrich imagery analysis with context and supporting intelligence
Identify capability gaps and propose enhancements, emerging technologies, and business case opportunities that improve mission delivery
Contribute to the development of new geospatial methods and tools from an operations research perspective
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for CI Polygraph
10+ years of related experience (can be met through a combination of experience, education, and certifications/training. All of it will be considered.)
Background supporting Intelligence Community operations
MUST have proficiency in Python and/or R, including common scientific libraries (NumPy, Pandas, etc.)
Past experience working with both structured and unstructured data
Understanding of modern data science best practices, including governance, reproducibility, transparency, and model lifecycle management
Demonstrated experience in database development, maintenance, and data mining
Proven capability in identifying opportunities for system enhancements and new analytic capabilities
Strong GEOINT and multi-INT tradecraft capabilities, including imagery and spatio-temporal analysis
Hands‑on experience applying machine learning or statistical modeling techniques to mission datasets
Ability to build and maintain pipelines that move models from development into operational production
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with building and maintaining GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT datasets
Prior experience working with FADE tools (MIST, INTELBOOK, LINX, WATCH BOX) to discover and refine analytical insights.
Proficiency with commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) statistical tools such as MapLarge, Tableau, MATLAB, JEMA or Brewlytics for data visualization and complex statistical analysis
Familiarity with distributed analytics frameworks such as Spark, Dask, or Ray
Knowledge of Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) operating within the USSOUTHCOM AOR
Understanding of coca cultivation and production areas
Familiarity with ICD 203 (Analytic Standards) and ICD 206
Experience extracting, modeling, and visualizing multi-INT datasets for descriptive and predictive analysis
Background in applying deep learning or computer vision methods to GEOINT or multi-INT datasets
CNNs, segmentation, object detection
Experience building analytic dashboards or applications, including API‑driven ingestion, ETL pipelines, and microservice‑based architectures
Ability to shape analytic outputs so they directly support operational planning and decision‑making
Familiarity with Structured Observation Management tools and/or Object‑Based Production methodologies
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical details in an accessible way; ability to create and deliver demos, briefings, and/or training for both technical and non‑technical audiences
Experience supporting DoD/IC analytic production, including formal reports, briefings, and publications
