Director of Finance
Location: Manchester, New Jersey
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $96-$106k/yr.
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
The Finance Director oversees all financial operations to ensure compliance, fiscal integrity, and effective use of resources in support of the agency’s mission. This role manages accounting, budgeting, payroll, audits, grants, and financial reporting, and provides strategic financial guidance to leadership.
Finance Director Responsibilities
Manage accounting functions: general ledger, AP/AR, cash flow, payroll, and internal controls
Prepare and monitor annual budgets; develop forecasts and financial reports
Ensure compliance with Medicaid, DDD, grant, and regulatory requirements
Oversee audits, grant reporting, billing, and revenue collection
Supervise finance staff and support leadership with financial analysis
Manage banking relationships, lines of credit, and fundraising funds
Perform other duties as assigned
Finance Director Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
3–5 years of financial management experience
Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Peachtree required
Nonprofit and supervisory experience preferred
Valid NJ Driver’s License
