Job Description – Seasonal Security Team Specialist I (2600003M) This is a seasonal position for a duration of 90 days, with no extension. Seasonal positions do not offer employee benefits with the exception of sick time accruals. Employees in this position will be required to perform certain mandatory overtime.

Responsibilities
Patrol all buildings, grounds, and adjacent areas of the hospital at regular intervals and guard against trespass, theft, fire, and damage to property.
Maintain order among visitors and staff; maintain motor vehicle traffic controls on hospital grounds including parking, speeding and other traffic conditions and take necessary measures to prevent unauthorized use of hospital roads and parking facilities.
Perform security duties such as screening visitors, directing traffic, and enforcing parking controls.
Provide personal protection to individuals as required including searching for missing goods and persons, conducting surveillance, and investigating complaints and reports of alquiler suspicious activities.
Assist with custodial supervision of medically ill and mental health clients, and escort them to various appointments.
Coordinate maintenance of hospital firefighting equipment, alarm systems and other safeguards; report defects and request repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements.
Monitor hospital switchboard, gauges,алоўи and alarm indicator panels; take necessary action in event of malfunction or alarm, including system resets.
Prepare reports on investigations conducted and noteworthy incidents during tour of duty.
Preserve crime scenes and fire sites, perform searches and inspections, serve court summons to patients or staff, and perform other job‑related duties for safety and security as necessary and directed.
Required Qualifications
Skill to deal tactfully with others and interact with individuals who are under physical and/or emotional stress.
Capability to maintain a calm composure in stressful and emergency situations.
Ability to make decisions and act quickly in dangerous or emergency situations.
Capacity to exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
Demonstrated proficiency inachim information through questioning individuals, dönüş interviews, and gathering information by examining records and documents.
Ability to lift persons or heavy objects.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior health care facility security or law enforcement experience.
CPR Certified, First Responder and NARCAN trained.
Ability to solve problems and affix to hospital staff, constituents, and other community members in a positive and professional manner.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have (A) at least one (1) year of full‑time-primary‑analogous part‑time, experience in work involving the protection and/or security of buildings, equipment or individuals, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Applicants applying for positions within the Department of Youth Services, Department of Mental Health and Department of Public Health are required to obtain and maintain a valid certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and first aid. Additionally, applicants applying for positions within the Department of Youth Services are required to obtain and maintain a valid certification in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
Substitutions:
An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
Incumbents may be required to have a current and valid motor vehicle driver’s license at a class level specific to assignment.
Compensation Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non‑management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
