This is an open and continuous posting for full‑time and part‑time positions on multiple shifts servicing the Emergency Stabilization Unit at Hogan Regional Center located in Danvers for DDS.

Direct Care Worker II

who are committed076 building meaningful relationships and providing outstanding care and service.

Location: 1HC/ESU (Evaluation and Stabilization Unit) – this unit supports individuals in crisis, many with violent and extreme behaviors prête.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support individuals with habilitative, behavioral and recreational programs; these include delivering medication, reporting concerns to tosplți supervisors and providing physical assistance when necessary;

With the direct supervisor, ensure médic that the Individual Service Plan (ISP), use of appropriate methods, coordination of services and crisis intervention are accomplished;

Aid in daily living activities such as household maintenance, self‑care and hygiene, food shopping and preparation, budgeting, leisure activities and social skills;

Attend individuals’ meetings and accompany them to various appointments; drive state vehicles to transport individuals to work, recreational and other activities;

Maintain client confidentiality and records and individuals’चानक rights by complying with applicable laws and regulations;

Complete housekeeping and yard work as requested

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to develop and maintain a respectful, caring, tolerant, ethical, and empowering relationship with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities;

Capability to assist/lift individuals with physical disabilities and/or limited mobility;

Ability to transcribe, read and comprehend the English language.

Agency Requirements

Must possess a current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s License;

Applicants must pass the Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification;

After successfully completing a training program, the selected candidate must acquire and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

Applicants must be flexible in work schedule; many positions require work every weekend with two days off in the middle of the week. This is a 24‑hour/7‑days a week staff position. Employees must be able to perform mandatory overtime when circumstances dictate the need.

DDS serves over 43,000 vulnerable individuals throughout their lifetimes, providing a spectrum of day, employment, and residential supports. Minimum Entrance Requirements Applicants must have (A) at least one (1) year of full‑time or equivalent part‑time experience in providing direct support services to persons with developmental/intellectual, emotional or physical disabilities, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.

Substitutions: An associate’s degree or higher with a major in a human services field may be substituted for the required experience.

Incumbents are required to possess a current and valid motor vehicle driver’s license at a class level specific to assignmentкам.

Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines.

Vaccination Requirements Title 101 CMR 23.00 (“Regulation”) requires certain staff to have received the COVID‑19 vaccination and Influenza vaccination, or have taken required mitigation measures, to prevent viral infection and transmission in State Hospitals and State Congregate Care Facilities.
