Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic
General Manager
to lead all aspects of the
USA operations
for
Spirax Sarco in Blythewood, SC . This is an outstanding opportunity to
drive performance, coordinate high‑performing teams , and ensure the successful execution of

Role Purpose As the
General Manager , you will lead the site’s
multi‑functional management team
and serve as the orchestrator of activities that
elevate manufacturing performance , drive operational excellence, and
deliver on safety, quality, service , and commercial objectives. You will
foster a culture of continuous improvement
and data‑driven decision‑making, ensuring
alignment with strategic goals
and stakeholder expectations across the Supply network.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clear direction and leadership to the site’s multi‑functional management team (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, EHS, etc.), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and high‑performance standards.
Lead and cultivate collaborative relationships across functions and regions to enable growth through the execution of local and global strategies.
Champion followership, inclusion, and equity by building diverse teams and fostering a supportive, healthy, and safe workplace where everyone can flourish.
Collaborate across the business—including Sales, Engineering, Finance, and other key functions—to achieve the best outcomes for customers and the OpCo while contributing to the wider group’s success.
Develop and retain core talent by maintaining high levels of engagement and performance, coaching multi‑disciplinary teams, and strengthening succession to build future leaders.
Build and maintain strategic relationships by translating Spirax Group strategy into actionable local plans and developing mutually beneficial, long‑term relationships with stakeholders and communities.
Make data‑driven decisions by establishing robust metrics and analytics to identify and seize opportunities, applying commercial acumen and understanding the drivers of top‑ and bottom‑line performance.
Encourage and engage teams to achieve quality performance and drive continuous improvement, leading significant transformation initiatives and fostering innovation and resilience in operations.
Ensure compliance and ethical leadership in all operations, prioritizing health, safety, and wellbeing for all employees, customers, and site visitors.
Balance short‑ and long‑term results by establishing and rigorously managing KPIs that drive local performance and accomplish strategic goals.
Leverage the global supply chain network for input, guidance, and best practices, building a collaborative network across the organization and externally.
Apply sustainability commitments and guide operations to reduce waste and manage environmental impact.
Required Knowledge & Experience
Supply chain or commercial leadership: Proven experience driving performance through techniques such as lean and continuous improvement.
Proven track record of leading management teams in various business situations, including complex manufacturing facilities.
Outstanding networking and relationship skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across the organization and externally.
Critical experiences: Leading change, stakeholder management, community engagement, integrating new industry knowledge, and applying customer feedback to shape decisions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience is acceptable. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
10+ years of demonstrated experience in a senior management role, with a focus on strategic and operational leadership.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing, cross‑functional teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
