Job Summary We are seeking a warm, creative, and skilled Play Therapist to provide virtual and optional in person therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. This contractor role is ideal for therapists who value expressive techniques, interactive tools, and developmentally appropriate interventions within a modern model of care.
You will have the opportunity to use our immersive virtual therapy platform to engage clients through interactive elements, creative activities, and safe online environments. You may also run sessions in our Norcross office using traditional play therapy tools and child friendly spaces. As your caseload grows, this position can expand into a full time opportunity.
Hours: Minimum of 3 clients per week with flexible scheduling and caseload build. Applicants must reside in the United States.

Responsibilities
Provide play therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults through our virtual therapy platform and in person office space Integrate expressive tools such as art, storytelling, sand tray principles, pretend play, and game based interventions Conduct clinical assessments and create individualized treatment plans Support emotional regulation, trauma processing, self expression, and social skill development Utilize evidence based frameworks such as Child Centered Play Therapy, Theraplay principles, or developmentally informed CBT Collaborate with parents and caregivers as clinically appropriate Monitor client safety, clinical progress, and overall engagement Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation Coordinate care with schools, pediatricians, or community providers when needed Follow HIPAA standards and professional ethical guidelines
Qualifications
Master’s degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited institution Clinical licensure or associate level status: LAPC, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSWA, PsyD or equivalent. Registered Play Therapist preferred. Experience in play therapy or expressive arts therapy Familiarity with child development, attachment theory, and trauma informed care Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build rapport with children, teens, and young adults Comfortable facilitating sessions within virtual environments and using digital tools Experience using EHR systems like Simple Practice preferred
