Position Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician will support the business by accurately and efficiently completing prescription orders for long-term care (LTC) facilities. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to compliance standards, and collaboration with team members to maintain smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate medications from inventory. Apply labels to medication packaging, scan, and assemble into appropriate bins accurately and timely. Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate medication supply for order completion. Maintain inventory levels, remove expired/unused medications, and keep stock organized. Consistently meet established accuracy and productivity standards. Collaborate with supervisors and other functional areas to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain a clean and orderly workstation; replenish stock supplies as needed. Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to prescription dispensing. Perform other essential duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Education:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. License:
Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Maryland Experience:
Pharmacy experience required.
Preferred Attributes: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
