Role Description CSR Athletic is seeking a highly experienced
Senior Cost Estimator
to join our team in Deerfield Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed and accurate cost estimates for athletic facility projects, site work ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and alignment with client expectations. CSR self-performs much of this infrastructure work. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction cost estimating within athletic, recreation, or commercial construction environments.
Key Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and proposals for a variety of athletic facility and construction projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documentation to determine accurate pricing. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain labor, material, and equipment costs. Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market pricing and trends. Provide value-engineering recommendations to maximize cost efficiency. Identify and mitigate cost risks throughout the estimating process. Assist in preparing bids, negotiating pricing, and responding to RFPs and RFQs. Present estimates and cost analysis to internal stakeholders and clients. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred). 7+ years of cost estimating experience, preferably in athletic facilities, recreation venues, commercial construction, or related industries. Proficient in estimating software and take-off tools (e.g., Agtek, Rocktec, Bluebeam, Planswift, Excel, or similar. MS Project/scheduling software a plus). Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, labor rates, and cost factors. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy. Professional, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
