POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance operations across a residential apartment portfolio. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, self-motivated, and experienced in apartment maintenance, repairs, and unit turnovers. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with residents, team members, and vendors
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver first-class customer service to residents and team members Perform apartment turnover and make-ready tasks efficiently and to the company standards Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to plumbing, electrical, heating, and other building systems Perform general facilities maintenance, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical work Repair and install household appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, and stoves Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities with vendors and other team members Schedule and manage vendor services as needed Work independently to identify, prioritize, and complete daily work orders Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing Participate in on-the-job training and coaching to ensure company standards are met
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in apartment maintenance or a similar field is required Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems Experience with facilities maintenance preferred Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask Leadership ability to oversee vendors and coordinate maintenance activities Requirements: Reliable personal vehicle required (compensation provided for work-related travel) Personal tools preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Schedule Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts Rotating weekend emergency coverage
