is seeking an experienced
Senior Commissioning Construction Manager
to lead commissioning delivery across complex, mission-critical programs nationwide. This role is suited to a senior commissioning professional who thrives at the intersection of
construction, MEP systems, and operational readiness , and who wants to directly influence how large-scale data centers are brought online safely, efficiently, and reliably. The Role As a
Senior Commissioning Construction Manager , you will act as the owner’s and/or contractor’s representative throughout the full
L1–L5 commissioning lifecycle , providing technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems. You will translate client and organizational objectives into executable commissioning strategies, lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on system readiness, risk mitigation, and operational performance. This is a highly autonomous role with responsibility for mentoring teams and resolving complex commissioning and integration challenges.
Key Responsibilities Represent the
owner’s interests
throughout all phases of commissioning on mission-critical data center projects Develop and execute commissioning strategies aligned with project goals, schedules, and QA/QC requirements Lead and coordinate
L1–L5 commissioning activities , including pre-functional, functional, integrated systems testing, and acceptance Direct multidisciplinary teams to ensure commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve technical and schedule risks impacting system readiness Validate that all commissioning documentation, issue tracking, and testing align with client standards Ensure all deficiencies are resolved prior to turnover, occupancy, or go-live Support owner training, as-built verification, and post-occupancy reviews Review commissioning plans, submittals, RFIs, and MOPs Maintain rigorous document control and traceability using platforms such as Procore, ACC/BIM 360, and Bluebeam
Reporting, Metrics & Stakeholder Engagement Develop and present
executive-level commissioning dashboards and KPIs Analyze non-conformance trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions Provide portfolio-level insights on commissioning performance and risk Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal leadership
Technology, Innovation & Digital Delivery Champion the use of
digital and AI-enabled tools
to improve commissioning workflows, reporting, and field data capture Support adoption of advanced analytics, visualization tools, and digital construction platforms Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and scalable delivery
What We’re Looking For Strong working knowledge of
MEP and controls commissioning processes
in mission-critical environments Proven experience acting as an
owner’s representative
for complex commissioning scopes Deep understanding of
MOPs, QA/QC, HSE requirements, and commissioning standards Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects Confident communicator capable of engaging field teams and executive stakeholders Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with construction and commissioning platforms such as
Procore Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline OR
hands-on experience in MEP or controls installation, testing, and validation 8+ years
of additional relevant experience in mission-critical or complex construction environments
Travel & Logistics 75–100% travel across the U.S.
unless assigned to a long-term project Willingness to relocate within 1–3 months if required Valid driver’s license and REAL ID or passport Relocation assistance available
