Under minimum supervision, work safely and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards by performing Slitting processes and operating necessary equipment. Operate Forklift / crane to transport belting material within the fabrication area Ensure proper material is available when and where needed as indicated on order form Ability to understand order form Properly retag belting material as necessary Accurately assign new location numbers as necessary Return material to its proper inventory rack location Regular & predictable attendance Perform other duties as necessary
Ability to read and understand order forms and inventory control tags indicating article and location numbers - Ability to independently and safely operate standard forklift, crane, 4-way lift - Satisfactory completion of required Siegling training programs - Working knowledge of basic computer applications for data entry - Must be able to frequently and independently lift up to 75 lbs. and maneuver large rolls of belting material weight in excess 500 lbs.
Position requires, but is not limited to the following demands/factors: PHYSICAL: -Occasional to frequent heavy lifting of belting material weighing up to at least 50 lbs. -Continuous standing and walking -Frequent handling, pulling, and pushing using medium force -Occasional stooping, crouching, reaching and twisting -Occasional, light pressure use of hand-arm and leg-foot controls to operate machinery and equipment -Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less to be able to accurately read printed workshop order form and perform precision work involving exact measurements of length, width and thickness of various belting material -Hear and speak clearly and distinctly to understand and verbally communicate with co-workers and others
ENVIRONMENTAL: -Works around and with cutting tools, forklifts, and other machinery which could cause cuts, abrasions, bruises, burns or fractures to hands and other body parts -Possible exposure to chemical vapors/odors -Temperature range, 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit -Humidity level, 50 - 55%
QUALIFICATIONS GED or High School equivalent Ability to read and understand written order specifications in English and the Metric system Ability to independently and safely set up necessary machinery and operate related tools/equipment
