**This position is located in Mitchell, SD. Relocation required Larry's I-90 Service, Inc. is an independent, family-owned automotive repair and maintenance shop serving the Mitchell area with many years of consistent and friendly service. Pay range : $26-$27.50 per hour depending on experience Offer 401-k and vacation pay after first year. Hours are Monday through Friday 8AM to 6PM. Weekends and major holidays off. Required Skills and Qualifications: High school Diploma or equivalent
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of diesel engine operation
Experience with light-medium pickup maintenance
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Hand and power tool expertise
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
ASE certifications in diesel engine repair (preferred)
Ability to operate vehicle lifts, tools and other garage equipment safely
Job Duties
inspecting and diagnosing faults on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, electrical components, and other vehicle systems. Performing preventative maintenance tasks like oil changes, fluid level checks, and component inspections. Repairing and replacing worn or damaged components, including engine parts, clutches, injectors, and cooling systems. Troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
