HR Assistant
The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant to join our dedicated team! This role offers a MondayFriday schedule with a primary base at our Papago Park Campus. A Day in the Life:
The HR Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of day-to-day HR operations. This role is responsible for handling detailed administrative tasks, maintaining confidential employee records, and supporting HR processes such as onboarding, data management, employee engagement, recruitment, and compliance.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. This position plays a key role in supporting employees and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Human Resources function.
Job Requirements:
- Two years' experience as an HR Assistant, or relevant administrative experience required.
- Experience with HR and payroll systems such as IRecruit and Paylocity preferred.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in written communications.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work activities and work autonomously.
- Advanced Word & Excel skills; proficient with Teams, Google Sheets, and Office 365; ability to learn new programs as needed.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to type and vector, handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. There will be occasional wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander. Most of the time will be spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment.
