About The Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Utility professional to join our Operations department. This is an hourly, full-time position designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization. This role is vital in ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What You'll Do
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, including proper sanitation of surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
Collect, wash, and store dishes, silverware, and cookware safely and promptly.
Support food preparation by ensuring necessary tools and equipment are clean and available.
Assist in unloading and organizing kitchen deliveries, ensuring items are stored properly.
Monitor and empty trash receptacles and recycle bins regularly, adhering to waste disposal guidelines.
Inspect kitchen equipment and report malfunctions or safety hazards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Provide support for other kitchen staff as needed to maintain workflow.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Strong understanding of sanitation and hygiene standards.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Proficiency in English with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.
