Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is pleased to announce a career opportunity for a Data Management Technician on the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir in Palm Beach County, Florida. This project marks the largest contract in the Jacksonville District’s history, valued at $2.87 billion. Thalle will oversee the construction of a 17.75-mile embankment dam and associated structures. This project offers potential Project Team members a valuable opportunity to broaden their professional experience and advance their careers throughout its duration. The CEPP plays a vital role in Everglades restoration, aiming to enhance ecosystem health, improve water storage, and increase resilience to climate change.

Job Title Data Management Technician

Salary Competitive compensation package based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collect, record, and transmit data for construction files and for utilization within Data Management and BIM deliverables.

Assist the Data Manager in overseeing the Data Management System (DMS), coordinating data collection with subcontractors, QC personnel, and other parties performing work onsite.

Ensure all data generated physically or digitally during construction is captured, organized, and maintained in the appropriate format with the required level of detail and accuracy.

Ensure data turnover timeframes are met in accordance with project requirements.

Assist in field verification of data and correct inconsistencies, errors, missing records, or anomalies.

Support data backup and archiving, quality control of data, technical workflows, data turnover, data cleaning and verification, and automated data input from instrumentation and data-gathering systems into the enterprise database.

Participate in data management meetings and provide ongoing technical support as needed.

Provide Data Management System (DMS) support during a 24-hour operational schedule, including night-shift coverage.

Work assigned night shifts as part of a structured rotating schedule with other Data Management team members to ensure continuous project support.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements \ Minimum of 2 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) supporting data import, cleaning, and validation for construction or infrastructure projects.

Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, editing, or maintaining enterprise-level SQL databases.

Technician-level Data Management experience, with the ability to support operational Data Management tasks during off-hours or night shifts.

Must be approvable by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) prior to transferring any data into the Enterprise Database (EDB).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Ability and willingness to work a rotating night-shift schedule as required to support 24-hour project operations.
