School Age Teacher

to support our K-5 classrooms!

Qualifications To be QUALIFIED for the Teacher role, we require a completed bachelor's or associate's degree in early childhood or elementary education OR a completed bachelor's degree or an associate's degree with 12 credits of early/elementary childhood education credits or their equivalent OR an individual who is currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in early/elementary childhood education. We can consider applicants who have early childhood credentials and experience. The ability to pass all background checks is also required.

Required Shift Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Additional Notes Please note the School Age Teacher will be required to drive the passenger van. Applicants must also be 21+ years of age.

Compensation $15 - $18 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the supervision of school age children and meeting the daily physical, emotional and social needs of the children in their care.

Responsible for driving children to and from school and occasionally for classroom field trips.

Arrange Lesson Plans and curriculum on a weekly basis in coordination with the monthly theme and that meet the developmental needs of the children and that meet the expectations of SACERS (School Age Care Environmental Rating Scales).

Responsible for establishing a professional level of communication with each family member to provide quality care for each child. Ongoing communication in all aspects relating to the children in their पड़ा with the parents and the Center Director is crucial for quality care.

Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
