The
Golf Services Attendant
is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and striving for the highest of standards to provide each member and guest.
Essential Responsibilities Must be available to work June through the end of September.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Transport all golf bags to and from entry area
Ensure that at least one person is present to greet guests at the entry area at all times
Clean all golf clubs coming in from the golf course
Work as a team to ensure that associates are present at the staging area when all guests conclude their round
Maintain cleanliness of all outside service/staging areas
Maintain neatness and cleanliness of cart barn and adjacent areas
Regularly empty trash from all receptacles in and around golf shop and outside area
Assist with all member and guest golf bag handling at all times
Be present to greet all guests arriving to the practice tee
Maintain communication with the Golf Shop and Professional Staff
Be available to player assist when needed
Inform each group: Cart Rules, cart path only or 90 degree rule, Yardages on sprinkler heads (to the middle of green), Comfort Station locations
Maintain an adequate supply of scorecards, pencils, tees, ball markers, water at the practice tee at all times
Maintain and inventory bottled water distribution to guests at the practice tee
Work with other golf associates in staging bags, carts, etc. for special events
Stage ample amount of golf carts in staging area
Thoroughly clean and park golf carts in proper storage areas
Maintain and properly record a golf cart-detailing program
Ensure guests receive rental clubs as needed; check rental clubs in and out and ensure the sets are complete and in order
Report all golf cart malfunctions to the Head Golf Professional
Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
Be informed on and promote all club activities and services
Provide excellent customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all members and guests
Perform other duties assigned
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English.
Highly organized and flexible.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Self-starter; ability to carry out duties with minimal supervision.
Ability to coordinate with other departments on a daily basis.
Strong computer skills.
Able to give and/or follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to operate vehicles and/or equipment for several hours at a time.
Ability to read and interpret information from technical sources.
Must be dependable and available to work within the resort on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands.
Minimum of one year experience in the golf or hospitality industry preferred.
Knowledge of the game of golf, golf clubs, and golf carts preferred.
