Lawson Adventure Park & Resort
Overview
This isn’t just another summer job. Lawson Adventure Park & Resort is looking for a team of skilled, passionate raft guides to lead our guests through the twists and turns of Clear Creek for the 2023 summer. The Creek offers everything from class I-V rapids, in sections perfectly suited for beginner to advanced guests. We also offer trips on the Upper Colorado River in the fall. It’s a very calm, scenic setting for groups.
Note: We will be hosting Raft training May 20th‑27th. Trying cost is associated.
Responsibilities
Raft guides will be responsible for the fun and safety of all guests
Creating an enjoyable environment for guests to learn and explore in
Have the opportunity to help people get out of their comfort zones
Properly inspect and gear boats for the day
Prepare guests gear such as paddles, PFDs, wetsuits, and booties
Inform guests on proper safety procedures and enforce said procedures on the rafts
Communicate with front desk staff to know weather, water level, and raft trip details for the day
Requirements
Training must be done before guiding (mandatory dates of attendance are May 20th‑27th)
Capable of positive guest interaction, engaging in conversation, making the attractions fun for everyone involved
Exceptional guest service is a must
Naturally outgoing and positive attitude
CPR certification required (Must acquire if hired uncertified. A CPR Training class will be hosted onsite on May 18th)
TLs will need to present their River Logs
Compensation
Pay will be per hour with additional compensation based on experience level
New Guides: $13.86 – $14.50

Compensation: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
We are a family-friendly mountain resort in the Colorado Rocky Mountains! We are open year-round and have fully furnished cabins and camping yurts for guests to stay in. For activities we offer whitewater rafting, ATV tours, guided fishing trips, via ferrata guided mountain climb & zipline in the summer. In the winter we have guided snowshoeing trips and ice fishing! We also have our Adventure Basecamp Bar & Grille House which has a full service bar, coffee service, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We are a great place for groups to come and adventure together!

CCMRD & Loveland Ski Area day pass
During summer LAP&R offers day passes to the local Recreation Center. During the winter LAP&R offers a day pass to Loveland Ski Area.
Health Insurance: LAP&R offers employee Anthem (Blue Cross, Blue Shield) after 90 days of employment.
