We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.**Start your career with FCC and become part of our global team of passionate waste industry professionals.****Position Summary:**Monitor and operate plant equipment to maintain safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.**Primary Duties and Responsibilities****:*** Makes rounds and checks conditions of designated plant equipment; record operational data on log sheets.
Completes assigned inspections.* Maintains safe and efficient operation of the Ash Handling System, other plant equipment.* Completes water testing and treatment. Evaluates and treats boilers, cooling, and other plant water systems.
Operates demineralization system and maintains efficient demineralization system.* Operates auxiliary plant equipment locally, making necessary adjustments safety and efficiency.
Operates and maintains lime slakers.* Assists the Plant Operator in the daily operation and maintenance of the plant from the field.* Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.* Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signal crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.* Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or managed on daily production sheet.
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together (where applicable).* Clamps sections of portable conveyor together or place conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate movement of materials or products.
Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators (where applicable).* Assemble crates to contain products such as machines or vehicles.
Shovels lose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals, into machine hoppers or into vehicles and containers such as wheelbarrows, scrap truck, or barrels.* Collects hazardous waste from satellite accumulation areas and other points of generation, delivers to hazardous waste 90-day accumulation area, notifies of any hazardous waste emergencies, notifies when drums are full.* Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the period prescribed.* Follow standard safety procedures, correct safety, and environmental hazards, and report them to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
