Production Technician – Fruit by the Foot and Gushers - Geneva, IL As a part of our manufacturing group, you will support production packaging and processing operations, equipment ownership, sanitation, and startup, changeover, and shutdown activities of operating equipment. Shift hours: 12-hour shifts Shift Schedule: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off Shift Rotation (2 week blocks): 2 weeks on days, 2 weeks on nights Schedule Perks: 182 scheduled days off per year; every other weekend is a 3-day weekend Schedule is subject to change based on business needs Overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency events Plant operates 24/7 Pay: $25.71 per hour starting rate Internal Advancement Opportunity Rates: Technician I $26.85, Technician II $29.24, Technician III $31.83, Technician IV $35.29, Technician IV Level Completion $39.35 per hour All rates include $2.00 per hour rotation differential Benefits: Vacation and holidays: 120 hours of vacation annually and 11 paid company holidays Paid sick and emergency time: 48 hours 401(k) with company match and contributions Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision, life) And more Responsibilities
Create high quality foods eaten everyday worldwide Operate and troubleshoot in a newly built, industry-leading facility Work with high-level operating teammates in a learning-focused culture Demonstrate leadership to positively impact shift results Equipment ownership: operation, improvement, and maintenance Own and manage Daily Management System (DMS) activities; participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with maintenance Calibrate processing and packaging systems to meet specifications Participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown activities Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives Develop skills through a pay-for-skills program; pursue leadership, equipment ownership, and process ownership Assist in training new employees What you have to offer
High school diploma or GED Proficient in English Basic mechanical aptitude and problem solving Ability to learn electrical and/or mechanical skills Willingness to use powered industrial equipment Experience in manufacturing/production preferred Physical requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs Physical tasks for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting) Ability to climb and work at heights using stairs, ladders, or platforms Wear protective clothing and equipment (safety shoes, masks, glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, hair/beard net, gloves) Adhere to grooming requirements for a food manufacturing environment Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environments Work around high-speed moving machinery Work with potential allergens in a food environment About our location Our Geneva, IL facility is in Kane County, western Chicago suburbs.
