Overview AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating AWS global infrastructure. We look for fully cleared Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver and troubleshoot range of data center infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in physical data center activities, including planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.

Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds.

Working in cramped and/or elevated locations.

Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.

Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.

Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

Working in a noisy environment.

Working shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts).

Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.

Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.

Resolve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.

Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting.

Act in the absence of direction or support.

Improve effectiveness through process innovation.

About the Team Our team includes software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, or A+, CND, Network+, or Security+.

Current, active US Government Security Clearance TS/SCI with Polygraph.

US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

A+, CND, Network+, or Security+ certification.

Hands‑on experience with hardware platforms such as Dell or HP.

Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications.

Previous experience working in a data center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment).

Associate's degree in IT-related field and two years of progressively responsible experience.

Salary & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $33.00 – $58.00 USD hourly. The package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D, supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
