The Tool Bender Operator is responsible for controlling, setting bed angles, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.Also, they ensure production rates are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities Essential Functions

Responsible for operation, loading, and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting bend angles, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.

Studies drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products.

Ensure productions rates are met or exceeded.

Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities.Reports all machine malfunctions to Management.

Communicates with management, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.

Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.

Suggest and implement improvements.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.

Qualifications Suggested Education and Experience

Mechanically inclined and experienced in metal fabrication and machine operation.

Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to ID and OD calipers, tape measure.

Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplying, division, geometry, trigonometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.

Preferred Education and Experience

Computer and CNC control experience helpful.

Forklift experience preferred.

Compensation $18 hourly
