Administrative Assistant – Finance Department
The City of Middletown is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant for the Finance Department. Position performs a full range of office administration duties and responsibilities to support the Finance Department. Position requires extensive administrative experience, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential financial related information with discretion in order to accomplish the following duties: project development; department liaison and project coordination; original research, analysis, and preparation of recommendations for all types of reports. Duties include a variety of office tasks and service to the public. Performs advanced administrative functions using City financial and computer systems. Position requires some independent judgment and action, with minimal supervision. High School Diploma or GED required; coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, or public administration preferred. Minimum of three years of administrative assistant or office experience; or any equivalent combination of experience. Starting Salary Range: $52,528 annually plus benefit package.
