CAMP ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR – FRANKE

Enjoy working with youth, leading a team, and spending your summer outdoors? This seasonal leadership role supports daily operations at Franke Park Day Camp while helping create a safe, fun, and well-run camp experience for youth ages 4–17.
What You Do
Assist with daily camp operations and large group management
Help hire, train, schedule, and supervise camp counselors
Step in for the Camp Supervisor when needed
Handle camper behavior, emergencies, and parent concerns
Support program planning and continuous improvement
Maintain camper records, swim tests, and group assignments
Order supplies, request maintenance, and pick up materials using City vehicles
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, environmental education, or related field
Two years of experience in recreation, education, or outdoor programs
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Required for Continued Employment
Valid Indiana Driver's License
First Aid and CPR certification within two weeks of hire
ServSafe Food Manager certification
