Support persons with developmental disabilities at various community sites as well as support independent living skills and recreational activities through coaching mentorship, and facilitation of activities for participants in community day services.
Engage individuals in active treatment throughout programming hours.
Advocate on behalf of all program participants, working to foster the individual’s independence and enhancing skills both inside and outside the workplace.
Provide direct training delivery to individuals in areas including recreational pursuits and independent living skills.
Maintain interdisciplinary communication and case notes for each individual.
Day Program Coach Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred.
A combination high school diploma/GED and at least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities will be considered.
DSP certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license required
