In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the correct mechanical condition of all mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and mechanical equipment. Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Mechanic II and III to plan and coordinate repairs, adjustments, and maintenance of all equipment to ensure it’s available for daily use on the golf course.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who strives for excellence with a great attitude and strong work ethic. At least 1 year of well‑rounded experience as golf course mechanic, and/or related mechanical experience and skilled in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repairs is required.

JOB DETAILS Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and equipment systems. This includes, but is not limited to, operator and equipment safety switch operation, engine tune‑ups, carburetor adjustments, tire repair. Ensure safe and proper operation of hydraulic, brake, fuel, steering, electrical, and cooling systems.
Repair engine/drive train assemblies, starters, cutting units, roller bearing and seals, carburetors, fuel pumps, hydraulic motors, and hoses. Install batteries, tires, lights, and glass.
Adjust, sharpen, and backlap reel mowers to ensure proper reel to bed knife adjustment and proper height‑of‑cut on all cutting units.
Perform occasional welding, machining, bodywork and painting.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Outdoor working environment – Occasionally
Exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather – Occasionally
Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
