Job Summary
An Engineering Services Technician is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Sterling, VA area. This role requires experience in electronics troubleshooting, fine pitch soldering, and data analysis to provide advanced technical support for engineering projects and laboratory testing.

Job Type: Contract
Salary: $46.42 - $54.25 per hour
Work Hours: 8am to 5pm
Education: Associates
Responsibilities
Provide high-level technical support to engineers with minimal supervision throughout the planning and execution of projects.
Review and analyze workflow illustrations, floor layouts, material routing, and machine utilization.
Operate, inspect, and maintain specialized test equipment to detect and troubleshoot malfunctions.
Conduct complex material tests and experiments to analyze results and implications.
Gather, format, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory results and engineering design changes.
Produce detailed technical drawings, reports, and engineering documentation.
Build, layout, and repair electronic or electro-mechanical devices and subsystems.
Perform component-level troubleshooting and complex circuit card assembly rework.
Execute fine pitch soldering and acceptance testing for electro-mechanical assemblies.
Assist in training, orienting, and assigning work tasks to other technical support staff.
Skills
Experience with component level troubleshooting.
Experience with fine pitch soldering, circuit card assembly rework, and complex electro/ mechanical assembly, acceptance testing.
Experience working in a lab or production environment.
Organization and basic project management skills.
Education and Experience
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post high school training).
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
J-STD Solder Certifications a plus.
