This position is for an Engineering Services Support Technician. Performs complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects. Collaborates with higher level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results. Assist in orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.
Work Schedule Onsite 6AM - 3:30pm core hours; extended availability required based on unpredictability troubleshooting. Overtime is likely.
Responsibilities
Work under minimal supervision providing technical support to engineers with several tasks.
Perform moderate to complex technical task, contributing to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
Review illustration of workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, or machine utilization.
Operate, inspect and maintain test setups and equipment to detect malfunctions.
Conduct moderate to complex materials test and analysis.
Collaborate with higher level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results.
Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
Plan and execute experiments and gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines.
Analyze, maintain, compile and format data and design changes.
Produce drawings, reports and engineering documentation.
Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro‑mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
Required Qualifications
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience with component level Troubleshooting.
Experience with fine pitch soldering, Circuit Card Assembly Rework, Complex.
Electro/Mechanical Assembly, Acceptance Testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Military Experience, US Veterans desired.
J‑STD Solder Certifications a plus.
Experience working in a lab or production environment.
Organization and basic project management skills.
