Security Administrator The closing date is 15 January 2026
To assist the Security Manager in all operational aspects of the security service. This may include report writing, admin tasks related to the delivery of Conflict Resolution Training, rostering, amending Healthroster duties and any other administration duties.
Main duties of the job To manage the ID badge production process, assist with CCTV reviews and evidence disclosure.
To co-ordinate and manage all aspects of ID and Access Control Administration as appropriate, and to assist with stock control and maintaining appropriate stock levels for all consumables, raising orders and carrying out any other administration duties under the direction of the line manager or Head of Security.
Assisting in the management of rosters and shift cover.
Utilising Health Roster to monitor, amend and finalise shifts.
Supervising and maintaining the security equipment – monitoring for any defects and escalating to line manager.
Shape continuous improvement of services in terms of performance and staff and visitors' satisfaction reports.

Person Specification Education & Qualifications
A level or equivalent
Security-related certification
Training in conflict resolution, physical intervention, or control and restraint techniques (or willingness to undertake training)
Understanding of NHS or public sector policies and procedures related to site safety and security
Experience
Previous admin experience
Ability to use MS Office suite proficiently
Experience in using CCTV system
Experience in using access control system (ID badge production)
Experience working in a security role within a large, complex organisation
Demonstrated experience in dealing with security incidents, including aggressive behaviour, theft, trespass, and safeguarding concerns
Communication
Evidence of customer service experience
Working with general public
Working in an NHS environment
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to conduct risk assessments, security audits, and site inspections
Capable of preparing incident reports, maintaining accurate records, and supporting investigations into security breaches or safety incidents
Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and emergency services.
Commitment to upholding the NHS values and the security and safety of patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
Awareness of confidentiality, data protection, and the importance of maintaining a professional security presence.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider estates/facilities/security team.
