Security Officer – Hospital Entry Patrol
in
Canonsburg, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security‑related incidents and create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and a people‑first approach. What You’ll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff by providing directions and responding to inquiries related to security matters.
Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and/or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders as required during incidents and/or drills.
Minimum Requirements:
Vaccines are required for this hospital position.
This hospital position may involve working in a morgue setting.
This hospital position may require restraining individuals.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
