JOB DESCRIPTION The Accounting Manager is an integral member of the Finance team supporting the Fox One organization. This is a highly visible and challenging position, providing key budget/forecast and actuals analysis for the new Fox One streaming service. In this role, you will manage the integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the P&L for monthly and quarterly close cycles. Additionally, the Accounting Manager serves as the primary liaison between operational leads and suppliers, overseeing all purchasing and invoicing activities. The Accounting Manager also manages the complete Procure-To-Pay process, collaborating and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure all required documentation and processes are in place. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, FP&A.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
Maintain and enhance internal controls, procedures, and accounting policies
Support preparation of quarterly and annual SEC schedules, including commitments and future amortization
Ensure accuracy of general ledger data and consistency across financial reporting systems
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasting and annual budgeting cycles for Fox One, covering SG&A, Marketin,g and other functional areas
Maintain and refine driver‑based financial models to monitor revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics
Analyze financial results, identify trends, and prepare variance analyses between actuals, forecasts, and budgets
Deliver clear, insightful financial reports and presentations to management.
Principal Partner and Procure-to-Pay Process
Manage the end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay Process, including vendor management, purchase orders, and payment resolution
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to secure appropriate approvals and resolve payment issues
Act as the main point of contact with AP and vendors, ensuring efficient onboarding and ongoing support
Coordinate cross‑functionally to secure approvals and maintain compliance with internal purchasing policies
Ensure adherence to purchase order requirements to support accurate month‑end accruals
Process Improvement & Systems
Assist in the design and implementation of efficient processes for close and forecasting cycles
Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and continuous improvement across accounting and finance operations
Collaborate with system teams to enhance reporting tools and ensure data accuracy and accessibility
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or STEM field
7+ years of accounting or similar role experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and large data sets); familiarity with Outlook/Word/PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management
Strong analytical thinking
Strong sense of accountability, strive for excellence, have a “whatever it takes to get things done” mentality, and be results‑oriented
Understanding of accrual accounting and its implications, and has a working knowledge of GAAP
Ability to understand the “whole picture” and reasoning behind the tasks that are performed
Ability to work somewhat independently and be resourceful
Ability to summarize complex data clearly and tailor messaging for diverse stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while multitasking with attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent follow‑up

This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
