Our client a global entertainment provider is seeking a
Sr. Financial Analyst
to join their team in
Los Angeles, CA.
This is an initial
5‑month fully onsite contract
opportunity.
This role will support financial reporting, accounting close activities, and analysis across corporate overhead functions, with exposure to technical accounting projects, process improvements, and system initiatives. The position reports to the
Senior Manager of Overhead Reporting
and partners closely with budget coordinators and finance stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities
Prepare and populate monthly financial reporting schedules for Planning
Analyze actuals vs. budget/forecast and explain variances
Prepare, book, and park monthly and quarterly journal entries and accruals
Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to overhead and clear suspense/clearing accounts
Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities under strict deadlines
Prepare quarterly and YTD earnings support and balance sheet files
Assist with audits, ad hoc reporting, and special finance projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance or Economics acceptable with relevant accounting experience)
2+ years of accounting experience, including:
Account reconciliations
Journal entries & accruals
Working knowledge of MS Word
Ability to work extended hours (10–12 hours/day) during quarter close periods
Nice to Have
Experience with Oracle or SAP
Knowledge of US GAAP
Experience in the Entertainment or Media industry
Exposure to Hyperion (Essbase / SmartView)
