Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to define and execute the Global roadmap for AI algorithms on the Genius Digital Diagnostics System and oversee the lifecycle management of the ThinPrep consumable portfolio. This pivotal role will focus on advancing AI-powered diagnostic solutions for laboratory and cytology applications, while ensuring the optimal performance, market fit, and lifecycle planning of established consumable products. The ideal candidate will combine deep product management expertise with a strong track record of delivering SaaS solutions, driving measurable improvements, and navigating the landscape of laboratory technology.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

Define and execute the product roadmap for the Genius Digital Diagnostics System, with a primary focus on AI-powered algorithms and software enhancements.

Lead cross-functional and global teams to deliver on strategic product goals.

Own the end-to-end lifecycle management of the ThinPrep consumable portfolio, emphasizing demand planning, obsolescence, and market fit.

Collaborate with R&D, clinical, and software engineering teams to prioritize and deliver new AI features and improvements.

Collaboration with Business Development in evaluation of opportunities.

Build business cases for new opportunities, working closely with strategic partners, including commercial marketing, R&D, operations, regulatory, finance, and sales.

Support commercialization efforts for new and enhanced AI algorithms and features.

Conduct, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape in AI diagnostics and laboratory workflows.

Leverage user feedback and data to iterate on‑market products.

Develop in partnership with internal stakeholders’ insights-driven pricing, product positioning and messaging for AI.

Performance Analysis & Optimization

Define KPIs, analyze product performance.

Monitor and communicate competitive activity, formulating strategic responses as needed.

Regularly assess product adoption and customer satisfaction for both AI and ThinPrep portfolios.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

Serve as the internal product leader and voice of the customer, inspiring and influencing cross-functional teams.

Establish relationships with key customers, driving advocacy, educating, and incorporating insights into strategy.

Engage laboratory professionals and pathologists to validate product concepts and gather actionable feedback.

Sales Enablement & Field Support

Partner with commercial marketing and education in development of effective sales training tools and resources.

Act as primary contact for technical product-related inquiries.

Support internal teams with product expertise for both AI solutions and consumables.

Additional Duties

Support other product management activities as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

5+ years in Product Management (or equivalent impact), including 3+ years in healthcare SaaS, laboratory diagnostics, or related technology fields.

Strong product judgment and analytical skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time.

Effective communicator and influencer with passion for customer‑centric design.

Proficient project management skills; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Deep understanding of clinical diagnostic workflows, laboratory environments, and anatomic pathology is highly preferred, especially in cytology and digital diagnostics.

Business acumen and marketing experience in medical device, diagnostics, or healthcare field.

Experience working with IT and networking in healthcare environments is a strong plus.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including some international travel.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science, engineering, life sciences, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $110,900 - $173,600 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
