Functions as a logistician in support of the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA)Program Office’s (PMA-290) P-8A Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages(DMSMS) Team. Includes independent and team efforts in the performance of DMSMS,obsolescence, and ILS/IPS-related analysis; requirements definition; and DMSMS planning,development, integration, implementation, and management activities as they apply to domesticand FMS MPRA platforms. Duties also include assisting with PMA-290 DMSMS BOMs, whileusing applicable DMSMS tools, GIDEP Alerts, CDRLs, supplier/OEM surveys, andsupplier/OEM reports to mitigate program obsolescence risks. As applicable, this position willalso perform various ILS tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvementof weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems, aswell as support technical evaluation and identification of weapons systems logistics requirementsand resources; development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans; analysis ofsystems acquisition requirements; lifecycle cost analysis and control; and ILS/R&M programmanagement analysis and T&E planning/execution. Further, duties may include performing otherILS-related tasks on an as-needed basis. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD.Requisition #ESI 0175
Qualifications & Requirements:
BS/BA degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, or Management.ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional five (5) years of acquisition oroperational logistics management experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree. At least six (6) years of experience in operational logistics support or maintenanceengineering. Three (3) years’ experience must be in technical analysis of operational ILSrequirements and three (3) years of specific experience in operational logistics planning. Experience or education demonstrating ability to perform DMSMS support, IPS studies,logistics analysis, and/or evaluations in support of DoW weapons systems/equipment isalso required. Previous experience with P-8A Poseidon and/or P-3C Orion aircraft acquisition logisticsand/or operational maintenance activities is highly desired. Must be a US citizen, have a valid state driver’s license, and be able to obtain/retain anactive DoD Secret-level security clearance.
