We are currently seeking a Hand Over / Hand Back Manager to work with us on a project in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage handover/handback plans, schedules, and checklists for smooth project transitions.

Coordinate with construction, commissioning, quality, and operations teams to ensure all readiness requirements are met.

Ensure all documentation, certifications, and approvals are completed for each handover milestone.

Serve as main contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams during the handover phase, and facilitate regular meetings and progress reviews.

Oversee O&M manuals, as‑built drawings, and asset data submission; support related audits and inspections.

Identify and mitigate risks, maintain the risk register, and resolve issues to ensure seamless transition.

Ensure handover activities meet health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Capture lessons learned and support development of best practices, as well as training and knowledge transfer for operational teams.

Qualifications: \ Minimum 15 years’ experience in Construction, Engineering and Management in large scale multidisciplinary railway engineering and construction projects

At least Bachelor degree (Honours Bachelor Degree) (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g. Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Master’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field would be advantageous

CSCS Card Holder (additional professional qualifications in Engineering or Construction/Project Management would be advantageous)

Chartered member of a relevant professional body preferred, e.g. Chartered Engineer (EI or equivalent), Chartered Project Professional (APM or equivalent) or Programme Management Professional (PMI or equivalent)

Proven experience in managing handover /handback processes on large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects

Strong understanding of construction, commissioning, and asset management principles

Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills

Familiarity with project management tools and document control systems

Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices

Strong knowledge of construction processes, standards, regulations, and HSE compliance

Proficiency in commissioning, snagging, and the full project lifecycle with solid documentation skills

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and experience in asset management and handover procedures

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and multidisciplinary team coordination skills

Skilled in preparing handover documentation, conflict resolution, negotiation, and quality assurance

Capable of managing multiple handover packages and identifying and mitigating risks

Proficient in project management tools and team leadership

Ensures compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements, and drives continuous process improvement
