R26\_0000000002**Compensation**$42.07 - $58.50(Based on Experience)**Summary**The Team Leader is responsible for supervising, guiding, directing, and training staff within a Great Lakes Water Authority facility or functional unit. Manage work on projects and assign and prioritize tasks. Responsible for completing all local, State, Federal and GLWA required reports.**Job Responsibilities*** Coordinate and plan the work assignments (i.e. manage projects, organize crews)* Manage annual organization budget items as assigned* Responsible for record keeping and preparing necessary reports that includes logs and computer files.* Attend meetings* Maintain Standard Operating Procedures* Prepare performance evaluations of assigned team* Supervise all staff within facility or functional unit* Perform shift work which includes all day, afternoon, night, weekend, and holiday assignments.* Principles and practices of employee supervision, including selection, work planning, organization, performance review and evaluation, employee development, and employee training and discipline* Project management principles and practices* Operating procedures* Safe work practices**Required Education and Experience**At the time of application, applicant must:* Associate degree in related operational or functional field, such as Engineering, Chemistry, Accounting, or Human Resources from an accredited college or university; or a combination of related work experience and education* A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience gained through progressively more responsible positions in the utility industry or plant setting* Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with an “N” air brake endorsement (Required to obtain within 1 year of employment).Preferred Education and Experience* Professional Accreditation in related operational or functional field* Work experience with large water main maintenance, breaks and repair in a water department or utility.**Other Requirements:**## ·Valid State of Michigan Driver’s license## ·Ability to work irregular hours, to commute to GLWA facilities and work sites, and respond to after-hour emergencies and on-call responses**Benefits**Comprehensive benefits package effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
