Join our client's dynamic energy trading and project management team as a Business Analyst Associate! This role offers an exciting opportunity to support critical business operations through data analysis, process improvement, and system enhancement in the fast-paced energy sector. You'll work with cutting-edge trading systems and contribute to risk management processes that drive strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
Conduct operational analyses to support informed business decision-making under senior analyst guidance Monitor daily Value at Risk, position reports, and other critical risk measures Verify position reports, enter trade deals, and execute end-of-day recaps and reports Reconcile broker and external statements while managing Electronic Funds Sources transactions Develop ad-hoc reports using SQL, VBA, and Python to support business operations Support enhancement of SOX Trade Capture Application and capture complex structured trades Provide management with daily Profit & Loss and pricing information Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred 1+ years of related analytical experience Proficiency with standardized analytical tools and techniques Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills Experience with SQL, VBA, or Python Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications
Experience in energy trading, financial services, or risk management Knowledge of SOX compliance and trade capture systems Advanced Excel and database management skills Understanding of P&L reporting and financial reconciliation Process design and modification experience Benefits of Working with AP Recruiters
