The Service Technician at AWC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal functioning of pressure relief and safety relief valves, critical components in various industrial settings. Tasked with disassembling, assembling, troubleshooting, and testing these valves, the technician meticulously follows industry standards and manufacturers' specifications to guarantee safety and reliability. Beyond mere mechanical tasks, the role demands analytical prowess to diagnose valve issues and implement effective corrective actions. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision, the Service Technician maintains the highest quality standards while working within tight tolerances. How you’ll make an impact:

Disassemble, assemble and test pressure relief and safety relief valves according to ASME, NBIC and API codes, as well as manufacturers' specifications Analyze valve problems and choose corrective action Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair and reassembly as required Work within very close tolerances to ensure product quality Read blueprint drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to determine specification procedures Work to avoid rejection and maintain safety and quality at all times Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines Must be willing to work towards continuous improvement of output, quality and delivery Knowledgeable in bolt torquing Ability to work in a shop atmosphere and outside in customer-owned facilities, i.e. Refineries, Chemical and Petrochemical Plants, Power Plants and Pipeline and Compressor Station facilities. Skills you’ll need:

Technical Degree or 2+ years of valve repair, testing, reconditioning or modification experience Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to work in both independent and team settings Ability to use measurement devices such as Vernier calipers The Rewards:
