Full time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus one‑half time for overtime hours worked. Work weeks can vary from 5‑8 hour days to 4‑10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule. Health, Eye, Dental, Life, AD&D and short‑term disability benefits after waiting period. Eligible for company‑provided uniforms after waiting period, if applicable. Eligible for paid time off (PTO) after waiting period. Eligible to participate in 401(k) and receive company contributions after waiting period. All potential employees must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test and physical if applicable prior to beginning employment and are subject to ongoing random and other drug testing as required through our policy. Ohio Valley Waste Service, Inc. – Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic (Atwater and Lisbon)
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel trucks. Also service light service equipment and light trucks. Typical repairs include hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brake, suspension, electrical, and emission systems. Perform preventative maintenance. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Adaptable to changing work environments, competing demands, and are able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing problems with heavy diesel trucks. Employees must provide their own safety‑approved work boots. Employees must provide their own tools and locking tool box. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required. Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50‑75 lbs. for short distances. Ohio Valley Waste Service, Inc. Youngstown, OH
