Position Summary The Cabinet Builder is responsible for accurately assembling finished cabinets using wood components, machinery, and hand tools. This role requires strong attention to detail, care in handling finished wood products, and the ability to follow quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble finished cabinets using pre-cut and finished wood components
Set up and operate woodworking machinery and equipment
Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble cabinetsRead and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions
Maintain efficiency and accuracy while meeting quality standards
Follow all safety and quality procedures, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Inspect finished products to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met
Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors regarding production and quality
Set up, maintain, and clean workstations
Report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns to management immediately
Training & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Cabinetry, woodworking, or related assembly experience
Ability to carefully handle wood products to maintain quality
Fluent in English (reading and speaking); Spanish is a plus
Basic math skills
Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
Assembly
Construction
Manufacturing
Experience operating power tools and woodworking equipment
Knowledge of woodworking techniques
Strong work ethic and accountability
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Dependable with a consistent history of attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Physical & Sensory Requirements
Work performed in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements
Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach
Regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Exposure to noise and dust
Required to wear PPE, including close-toed shoes and eye and ear protection
