Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Miami, FL
Job Duration: 4 months+ contract(possible extension)

Shift: Mon - Fri 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Rotational Saturdays 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM; 40 hours per week

Duties:
  • Perform routine and specialized venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, specimen labeling, and handling according to laboratory protocols.
  • Maintain specimen integrity during collection, transportation, and storage.
  • Provide excellent patient service by maintaining a calm, professional demeanor and addressing patient concerns courteously.
  • Assist in scheduling, processing, and tracking patient specimens and related documentation.
  • Support multiple Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
  • Follow established safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area.
  • Perform data entry and documentation in laboratory systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers, supervisors, and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in CA, NV, and WA).
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required)
  • One or more years of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (preferred)
  • Prior data entry experience (required)
Work Environment:
  • Requires flexibility to travel between assigned sites as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and handle specimens safely.
  • Adhere strictly to all company and regulatory health and safety policies.
