Marine Data & Analytics Analyst

What the day will look like
Under the direction of the Marine Data & Analytics Leader, the analyst will provide support in the areas of:
- Work directly with the Marine Data & Analytics Leaders on various assigned projects
- Translate already identified trending processes, and development of new processes, into trending and analysis of various forms of Marine Risk
- Continuous and regular updates of designed models and client deliverables to keep all developed forms of analytics up to date and ready for use by the Marine Practices various broking teams
- As part of the overall Marine Data & Analytics Team, including the Marine & Federal Workers Compensation Broking team, assist the Marine & Federal Workers Compensation Broking Team on assigned placements and renewals
- Additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Marine Data & Analytics Leader

Requirements
- Minimum 2+ Years Experience with broking or underwriting commercial insurance, preferable for Marine risks and/or Workers Compensation
- Math or Engineering Background, and ability to model trends in various sources of data
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and/or other database programs, including macros and other programming skills
- Ability to handle several projects concurrently, understanding prioritization of needs of different internal and external collaborators
- Ability to take direction from multiple collaborators within the Marine Practice, including the Marine Data & Analytics Leader, as well as other practice leaders
- Strong presentation skills, and ability to translate identifiable data trends into digestible client and internal content

Pay Transparency Laws
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000 - $100,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicants geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

Pay: Eligible to participate in one of Aons annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
