Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Human Resources Manager for a mission-driven, community-centered nonprofit organization serving Latinx youth, individuals, and families. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Madison, Wisconsin, with a consistent weekday schedule and flexibility for occasional agency events.
Base Pay Range
$75,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager leads all aspects of human resources operations while fostering a culture rooted in belonging, wellness, accountability, and growth. This role partners closely with organizational leadership to support recruitment, onboarding, staff development, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings empathy, cultural awareness, and a collaborative approach to supporting staff as they advance the organization’s mission and values.

Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development initiatives
Administer benefits, payroll collaboration, compensation structures, and HR policies
Partner with leadership to foster a culture of belonging, engagement, and continuous learning
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain HR documentation
Use data, feedback, and evaluation tools to assess and improve employee experience and retention
Facilitate training, leadership development, and culture-building initiatives aligned with organizational values
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience across core human resources functions in a collaborative environment
Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal)
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and employee relations
Ability to build trust, manage confidential information, and lead with empathy
Alignment with mission-driven work, cultural humility, and equity-centered values
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary range of $75,000–$80,000 , aligned with the organization’s internal structure and nonprofit market standards. A comprehensive benefits package is provided, including health and dental insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off.
