Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA Job Type: Contract-to-hire We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft Engineer to join our Pharmaceutical client on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a high ownership role where you will design and deliver enterprise-grade solutions across Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building secure, scalable environments and enjoys working at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and modern DevOps practices. Architect and implement advanced solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure and M365 services • Configure and maintain SharePoint environments, including migrations & integrations with MS 365 • Deploy and manage Azure core services such as networking, compute, storage, and security components • Administer Microsoft 365 services, optimizing workflows and productivity tools, including MS Copilot & Copilot Studio •Use Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub for streamlined deployments • Troubleshoot complex deployment scenarios and offer technical leadership to team members • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on Azure engineering • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, security, and compliance • Experience with Microsoft Purview for data classification and governance • Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure (networking, virtual machines, storage) and App Services • Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and modern development methodologies • Experience designing and managing IaaS services such as VMs, AKS, networking, storage • Skilled in Azure DevOps and troubleshooting application deployment issues and possess project management practices • Microsoft Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar • Exposure to other cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is preferred • Relevant industry experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences (highly preferred)
