Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $230,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare and oversee SEC filings, including Forms 10K, 10Q, and 11K, ensuring SOX 404(b) compliance.
* Direct the maintenance of financial systems and accounting practices in accordance with GAAP.
* Manage corporate tax functions, including federal, state, payroll, and property taxes.
* Lead cost accounting and analysis to support manufacturing and financial decision-making.
* Administer corporate benefit plans, including retirement and health and welfare programs.
Requirements:
* Manage and develop the finance team through training, performance reviews, and goal setting.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes and provide financial data for decision-making.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and executive leadership.
* Maintain strong internal controls and ensure audit readiness across financial operations.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA is required.
* 10+ years of experience in financial accounting and analysis, including cost accounting.
* Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to analyze complex data.
* Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Display high ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and confidentiality.
